Hello my dear ones,
I do apologize for the belated newsletter. The year began with us at The Dubai Souk. Our stand was situated within the shopping marquee, with little ventilation and many stalls. However, the beautiful corner we were allocated turned out be an airy spacious stand. As usual, the response was phenomenal and the Show was a tremendous success.
Khadija Khatrara and Nabeelah Jadwat put on a spectacular show with some models taken from the Dubai Souk, a few friends and we were also proud of our student Shanta who debuted her modeling career as well. Shanta filled in at the last minute and was the belle of the ball, Swishing and swaying to the upbeat sound. The beautiful models displayed modern garments by ModeztLine and Katwalk. Please follow those two links to view their designs. Nabeelah and Khadija launched their lines and are now ready to market their designer-made garments.
We take this opportunity to thank the Dubai Souk team for accommodating us by giving us an enclosed marquee so that we could restrict entry to the show for ladies only. Initially, the rain caused us to postpone the show, but after all the exciting feedback, we decided to hold it on 5 January. There were many lucky draws with prizes and vouchers given. Some lucky ladies have already taken advantage of the discounts they won. I personally gifted our two designers as well as their models M’ChooChoo perfumes. (The perfumes are on sale to the public. The travel-size bottle is R30, and the larger bottle is R100. Please reply to this email if you’d like to place your order.)
The holiday season has come to an end with university, colleges and school opening from next week. While some of your are in school-prep mode, others may be concerned about their children’s career choices. As a parent, my advice is to allow your child to study what THEY feel is right. If that doesn’t work out, they will forever know that they tried. Live with no regrets, for tomorrow is not promised.
With that, I leave you by wishing you prosperity and success in the year ahead.
All the best,
Mrs. A
