Hello my dear ones
Once again I sit down to write to you of the happenings in our midst. I do hope each and every one of you are happy and contented to be where you are at this time of the year.
I ‘ve come to realise that I cherish these bouts of solidarity and look forward to writing a wholesome newsletter each month. The words simply pour out as if waiting for their moment to shine.
The month of fasting dawned upon us in May, before the mid-year hustle-bustle, and the school calendar was planned accordingly. We had set the classes to correspond with this in mind. Two of our Saturday courses have come to an end; while the final course ends this Saturday. This means that enrolment for the next round of Saturday courses is now open.

Sew your Choice has become a popular lesson with students who want to make something different or special. This class has always been successful so we have been adding more slots when necessary. We had ladies with us on Saturday at 11am, as well as on Tuesday at 8.30am. They took the opportunity to prepare their Eid outfits. The thrill on the students’ faces, on seeing their ideas come to life, is an added bonus for me.
Our survey revealed that we have many of our students are marketing their designs on Instagram and other social media. Our new Sewing Directory is growing. This makes it easy for people at large to access information from our website. It’s also made it much easier for us to send to those who enquire on WhatsApp. Oh! What a good feeling it is when I get a service provider for a stressed lady. The thanks are enough to fill a page. Thank you to all my entrepreneurs.
The M’ChooChoo perfume was on sale in the month of May at R100 as wecelebrated a Mother’s day special. It was also free to those who enrolled in May. Normal selling price R150. This motivated many students to actually take the initiative and enrolled themselves towards empowerment.

It will be buzzing with Show Time soon as our first Module 3 class comes to a close. The students are beginning to get excited as we plan the first ever Family Show entitled A FAMILY AFFAIR.
The next Module 3 begins on 26 June
and Module 4 begins on 25 June.
The show is set for October so stay tuned in to discover new designers, good food and a vibrant ambiance as we prepare for our 11th Annual Show.
