I hope you are all well and enjoying the brilliant and ideal kaleidoscopic weather. Summer is making its way in and our air-conditioning is abuzz – but the cool evenings and Summer showers are a blessing, too!
I wish you are making the most of every God-given moment available to you. Sleep early, wake up early and reap the joys of the serenity of the cool calm mornings. You will find that you are so much more productive when you follow this routine.
November is always a hectic month with exams, holiday-planning, end-of-year festivities, school concerts and more. In your busy schedules, remember to take good care of your health. The sniffles used to be a Winter dilemma but the flu and cough are common occurrences in our polluted environment. I urge you all to be conscious of your surroundings and conserve our beautiful world.
At the Academy, we are still enjoying the aftermath of our Annual Show. The Weekly Gazette printed a picture of ours which lead to phone calls and instant messages pouring in making us busier than normal. I found this very exciting as this year’s exhibit sealed our foundation giving the future of our humble Academy secure platform to grow on, with the Mercy and Grace of God.
We will be 10 years old next year and plans are already being made for our next annual show in the third term of 2017. Believe it or not, some ladies have already reserved their tickets for it!
We have noticed that more and more people are either sewing or having their clothes made as opposed to buying. This is probably because affordable fabrics are very easily available and, with new shops opening offering competitive prices and a variety of prints, shopping for fabrics has become exciting and fun.
