My dear readers
I do realise that some who are reading this are not my students and I have never met you, but reading your feedback gives me so much pleasure. A big thank you to all those who reply with so much positivity. It is certainly that spirit which keeps me going.
I hope you are well as summer approaches with Spring’s mixed signals. Recently, it has been like four seasons altogether; mixed in so many ways. Load shedding has, once again, put us all on high alert, and now even water has become an issue in many places with burst pipes or reservoir maintenance. To top it all, there is a sewage spill into the sea and now the bay and surrounding areas are off limits. We live in a state of survival of the fittest.
Let’s rise above the negative aspects of our surroundings and our lives. Let’s not be dampened by the mixed vibes around us. Let’s focus on our needs.
No one can help you. This is your journey. You are the captain of your ship. Don’t let anyone push you in the wrong direction. To survive we need to be empowered. Empower yourself. No one can do it for you. It has to come from you.
We have seen many women in our classes who come in trying to find some fulfilment and are totally surprised to soon find themselves standing tall with a little empowerment. It is a true blessing to see students blossom into beautiful, confident ladies who can take on the world. Self respect is upgraded and dress sense reaches a peak that brings along a feeling that makes life worth living.
The world is at peace today. The Moti brothers are home safe. Three heartbreaking weeks later, following mass prayers and the best in private and public law enforcement, the young men are finally home. Our President, too, sympathised with the grieving family by paying them a visit to show his concern. The spirit of humanity once again took action as no compromises were made in dealing with the case. We thank the Almighty for His Mercy.
As the year comes to an end and classes are almost done we plan for the coming year with enthusiasm. Our Annual Student’s Designer Fashion Show will be held in March 2022, God willing, but more about that in our next newsletter. We will have missed two years due to restrictions and the pandemic in general, but as we waited we kept growing and adding to our syllabus. We have upgraded teaching techniques and methodologies to welcome the higher level of technology available.
Our students are now trained to do more with what they learn and make the most of the knowledge they have gained. The last round of classes start next week. It will be a one-month course, Mondays to Thursdays. Sixteen lessons before 2022 dawns! Reply to this email to enquire or WhatsApp me on 074 639 5353.
