To all the wonderful ladies I have had the good fortune of being associated with – a warm and welcoming HELLO to you!
It’s the Easter long weekend and I have a lot of time to myself. This alone is a blessing to be eternally grateful for.
As I sat at the kitchen table, quietly reflecting over the past few years, I was nudged at the thought of how coming for lessons has changed so many of my students’ lives.
I have seen many, many students over the past 10 years. Some apprehensive. Some ignorant. Some hurt. Some lacking confidence… Many more with problems and sadness, sickness, worries and stress.
I realise that I could never fill the void with all my dear students, but I can confidently say that I have made a huge and positive difference in many of their lives.
Sewing is an outlet of emotions – frustrations, anxiety and above all creativity. I have now realized the impact our lessons have on our students. They have built positive memories and sweet beginnings of a future filled with time-filling knowledge that makes them powerful individuals. No more boring days of your lives. No more feeling low with nothing to wear. No more wearing yesteryear garments.
Revamp, Restyle, Redo – Upcycle the clothes that you don’t wear and, miracle upon miracles, your wardrobe will be one you love and dressing will become fun again.
On that note we are proud to announce another first…
A workshop to teach you to remodel your old outfits and revamp your wardrobe by changing patterns, styles, lengths and adding notions.
This one-day workshop will include bringing three of your not-so-favourite garments and altering it into something you love. Make a date with us and we will show you an opening into an adventurous future of fun-filled fabric-related achievements.
The best weather of the year is upon us and holidays and long weekends have been keeping us all busy with family and friends. Sewing, cooking and baking has become a popular passtime for most, and a good income for many. In our busy, fast-moving lives, little time is left for ourselves. This month is quickly bringing in the new school term, leaving many of us with an emptiness that comes with the thought of having achieved little or nothing since the year began.
Don’t despair! Repair. Prepare. Achieve. Let this be your motto and, with your best foot forward, move into the next quarter of the year with vigour.
Repair. It is not too late to start over. It is okay if you started the year on a wrong note. Book yourself in for a lesson and open avenues for future inspirations.
Prepare. Prep is a wonderful way if being in control. It builds instant confidence and creates a positive vibe in you.
Achieve. This timeless attribute comes with making a difference. To achieve a skill is like having an ocean to play in rather than a puddle. Expand your knowledge and achieve the results YOU want.
You are the maker of your destiny. Only good comes from doing good. So be good and do good and you will be good, and so will your life.
Till next time.
Yours sincerely
Mrs A
