With rising costs, inferior workmanship and ill-fitting sizes, many have come to me to create stylish clothes to suit their pockets and figures. But this way of generating income is not novel, neither is it difficult to attain. It is a fact that our hardworking students can put their newly-found expertise to good use as soon as they have completed the Beginner Level course. This is a dream come true for many.
One such candidate is Saras Ramjathan. With only two levels of the renowned Learn to Sew in 16 Lessonscourse under her belt, Saras has done us proud by launching her own brand, Afri Sari. Pictures of her very successful fashion show are on our Facebook page and website.
Our Designer of the Year 2015, Safeena Cassim, who completed all three Levels, has named her brandAfina and is already looking to widen her spectrum and launch her line officially.
In keeping with our policy of assisting to launch our students’ brands, we at Silent Sewing Academy will always be by your side… For together we can make a difference and shape the future of those who are willing to take the step.
