To sew or to buy? Many ladies, together with their partners, wonder if sewing is worth the effort. To begin with, a good sewing machine and knowledge of pattern-making and construction are required to make an outfit. Creating an outfit, however, requires strong will – the most important ingredient required. True designer experience includes strong resolution, perseverance and conquering the battle of Will. <<First Name>>, I challenge you to march along to your own beat, create your own styles and be grounded in your own will, for these will truly bring out the best in you.

March has been a ground-breaking month for us at the Academy as we have been approved to be the preferred service provider for the public sector. We thank the Almighty for this glittered blessing. We are honoured to play a part in uplifting our public servants. (On a side note, while we’re chatting about official business, I would like to mention that all our notes, in all modules and courses, are copyrighted and may not be stored or copied without written permission.)
The buzz for our annual Student Showcase has already taken us by storm as we plan to take our show to a different height this year. Well-wishers are putting forward their ideas. We appreciate all input and thank those who have agreed to help us make this show a better and more enjoyable show than before.
In the past ten years, our school has grown tenfold with the Will of the Almighty. We have taken in more sponsored students. We, ourselves, have put our best foot forward and sponsored towards uplifting our community. Below are some statistics that we have collected thus far:
I must take this opportunity to stress that we no longer offer refunds on course fees and deposits. In lieu of this, we offer easy payment plans by contract. Once you have signed up for a particular module we feel that it is in your best interest, monetarily, educationally and empowerment-wise, to complete it. If completing your course becomes a challenge, you may discuss with us a contingency plan where an agreement is made on when and how you will return to complete the course you had set your mind on.
Our Abaya lessons have reached a pinnacle. The excitement of designing can be felt by everyone present as we create new designs or re-create designs from pictures. Fabric shop sales and discount fabric shops have thrilled our students as they compare prices and even shop for each other. The most inspirational feelings come when students lend each other Vilene, fabric, thread and tools. The comradeship and friendship which stems from these group lessons is absolutely fascinating. Students who have never met each other before break the ice and many retain long lasting friendships. This surely warms my soul.
