| Hello to all my ardent readers What a beautiful feeling of appreciation it is to receive such positive feedback. The emails and WhatsApp messages have poured in since the last newsletter was read. I do hope you are feeling appreciated in some way or other. If not, then do start appreciating everything in life and see the beauty reflecting back to you in being appreciated. We have lots of news for you! For the first time ever SSA will be doing a Double-Lesson Course on a Saturday. From 5 October to 30 November, two lessons will be held per day. 16 lessons will be completed over 8 Saturdays! We have offered double lessons on many occasions, but we have never done it for a full course. This first pilot course will set the pace for those who come from out of town and need to stay in Durban to complete the course at a faster pace. We live in a super fast techno-savvy age and students like to focus their energies on one thing. This will give those the chance to get done in 8 lessons. This will also be a time saver and may prove more cost effective. Saving you time, stress, effort and petrol! Bookings are open. Please contact us to inquire. Silent Sewing Academy has been revamped. In keeping with our moto of positive outlook and positive energy, we kindly asked our students and customers to leave their worries and their shoes at the door. What a beautiful respectful reaction I have experienced from my loving students. They all enjoy walking in their socks. They feel at peace and it makes our lessons so much more positive. No negativity to pull us back. We are moving forward full throttle as we introduce new ideas and simpler methodologies in all our lessons. We keep learning in order to give you the newest and easiest sewing techniques which put us at the front-line of the sewing world. Here’s the best news!!! Our annual show date has been set for 26 October, God willing. Our Organizing Committee members have already come up with brilliant ideas. Thank you to the loving people who sponsored lessons, a sewing machine and lots of fabric. May you be blessed. Our outreach empowerment idea is well on its way with students elevating themselves by being self-sufficient. We pray that The Almighty accepts our humble efforts and keeps the Academy going to empower those in all income groups. Whichever category they fit in makes no difference, as we are here to help anyone that enters our door. So much to share! We need to remind ourselves that in keeping in touch with the simpler things in life like handwork, machine sewing, crochet, etc we find inner peace that no spa or retreat can give you. We find our students changing their demeanor noticeably. Intellectual or not, everyone is dealing with a problem. No one is exempt.
